So it’s not technically my first. I’ve actually been to seven weddings this summer. Three I’ve been able to attend as a casual enjoyer. Three more I’ve worked as a dedicated assistant (shoutout to the amazing Andrew Ito). But this was my first time being in charge. And I had a great time. I cannot imagine a better scenario for my first foray into the wilderness that is wedding videography. Well, maybe it didn’t have to be 95˚, but everything else was perfect. The venue was beautiful, the bride was gorgeous, the groom was spiffy, the bridesmaids and groomsmen were fun, the photographers were extremely easy to work with, and I even got a little help from my girlfriend’s dad. All in all, I couldn’t have asked for a better first experience. Oh, and in case you didn’t notice, this is just a preview. The full video should be up in a week or so.

They say it’s not about what you know but who you know. That was definitely the case here. My girlfriend (the most beautiful girl that will appear in the video) was the maid-of-honor in this wedding and her best friend was the one getting married. I am so incredibly grateful for the opportunity that Rachel and Johnny gave me to shoot their wedding. Hopefully I can repay their trust and generosity with some fun highlights! Check back in about a week for the video!rachandjohnny
